Naraku
As with Most of my costumes, the coat is the most difficult piece of this costume. I used the rear patterns of the MIHAWK coat. I made the two new patterns for the front of the waist coat to which is connected the rest of the cape, turning the shape into an hour glass jacket with a high collar. I used Blue Drill for the external surface and Purple Poly-Cotton for the lining.

I adjusted the Rear waist coat pattern, in order for the shoulders to hang wider, giving for a more imposing presence. The Clouds on the Reference imange was carefully analysed and drawn onto the fabric. I used a mixture of acrylic pale blue and white pearl paint and a steady hand to apply the paint. I painted only till the side seam, as it was simply to be used for photos, not Cat-walk presentations. I have saved the ratio and the tubes of paint so that if neccessary I can contune painting the jacket. The pearl aspect of the white gave a sheen to the paint adding texture.
